More Discoveries!

Wow,

I really don't know where I want to start! I have not posted in a while. And in my living, I have discovered a whole slew of new things that have startled, impressed, and stress me and all of those involved!

MUCH of it has not been good. For instance, I have talked with a sister in the YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO Area, and she stated that 'The Grim Reaper" has been OUT by FORCE around here lately........ and I understand! Her son has become a witness to what can happen to boys when they just go out to 'be boys' hangin' out where they ought NOT to...... wherein their great friend was drowned in a river behind their house, wherein the current got so strong, it was impossible to save him, and the other two boys couldn't hold him any longer. And they horribly watched him be 'taken away'! What pains ME is the fact that these boys are being horribly treated by society around them as if THEY were the culprits who murdered him, and didn't deserve to be alive themselves! The NERVE of selfish, insensitive persons who would DO such a thing to 14 year old kids who had been TRAUMATIZED BY the situation themselves, and live it over in their minds, and have to deal with that already, which is more than they could imagine! And then 'grown-ups' who are even GRANDparents bitterly brow-beat the youngsters, as if they were so bad, and didn't deserve to be alive! And we wonder why the Judgement of GOD is QUICKLY falling on this country! "DISCOVER"!! People are TOO full of themselves to even stop and think and consider the fact that other people exist who are NOT privy to their 'own' mind's eye of seeing and thinking of things! Yet, when one is so focused on self, YOU must comply to that mindset that is in THEM that you should AUTOMATICALLY know........or you don't deserve ..... whatever....Which is SOOOOO self-servingly WRONG! And we wonder why constant conflict is in the world? More on THAT later!


A 'discovery'.....On another 'front', which certainly STILL applies to the statement above of the "Grim Reaper"...
I just got word that LEVI STUBBS of the world famous FOUR TOPS has just passed away at the age of 72! The co-inciding string of the fact is, that alot of his family is in the YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO AREA also, including his sister, (who looks just LIKE him in no uncertain terms!!!!) THAT came as somewhat of a shock to us all, yet, knowing that Levi was growing tired! Affectionately called, "The TOP of the TOPS" by a dear friend, he will be honored for times to come as one of the greatest voices of our time, and will continue to be LOVED by millions, and missed by legions! Rest in Peace, my dear brother, Levi! THANK YOU for soooo enriching MY life, and being a part of making me what 'I' have become! MUCH LOVE to you, brother!

On a pleasant note, I have been in contact with ANNETTE HELTON of the ORIGINAL Martha and The VANDELLAS, on the note that the Vocal Group Hall of Fame induction ceremonies will be held in YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO next month at the Chevrolet Center, and I have been invited to come and hang out with them if I possibly could! I Definitely WISH that I could by that time, and am not ruling it out! I don't know tho'. I am in the 'TIGHTS' right now, and things are not as they would be desired to be even to get around in town, let alone get OUT of town. And my Godmother, MARY WILSON of THE SUPREMES is NOT slated to be there this year, which I was certainly looking forward to getting to spend some time with her again there. From a few years back, I sang with her onstage for the concert, which ended up being issued on a dvd/cd set from the Hall of Fame! I had SO hoped she would be there again. She serves as a co-host with Mr. Butala of the LETTERMEN on those events. I am a friend of his also! ;-D
I also have an engagement coming up THAT weekend in North Canton Ohio for the United Methodist Church Conference wherein I am to do music for that Saturday's meetings and sessions. I pray that I may have transportation to do all of that and get around the way that I need to during that time. It is that Saturday, Nov. 8th, during the HALL of FAME weekend! I would appreciate prayers on that matter if one would 'care' to do so!

My Sister's Daughter, JaNee' Jenkins is finally going to be off to the services, and the sendoff is this MONDAY, October 20th. I HOPE to get there! It is a crazy time. So much is happening all around me that is warning of 'tightening the ropes' on time, and our lives TOO, and that we must be more diligent to 'gird up' for what is surely coming our way....especially if we don't DO something about it! And we 'think' one 'MAN' is the 'answer'! GRAVE NEWS folk! He 'ISN'T'! *ONE MAN "IS" THO'* DO YOU KNOW HIM?.....'Discover'!

I HAVE released a digital cd recently called "Here Comes The *SON*". It is sort of like an instructional exhorter for the Christian Soldier who MUST STAND in these days and BE VICTORIOUS, and the virtues of life that we have to face in order to GET to that VICTORIOUS spot! It really IS a MUST for ALL who would live the way we are called to live in such a time as 'this'! It is a delightful and yet INTENSELY POWERFUL testament, and NOT for the lazy, or intimidated or the quiet! This is NOT a 'quiet' or even mild-spirited offering. But it is by FAR NOT a chaotic and dysfunctionally noisy set either, tho' it is 'loud' at times. It is not for the 'faint' at heart! It is for the HEART that would NOT faint when times 'CRUNCH'!
It is being met with MUCH favor from audiences, tho' to my surprise and delight! It IS a must-hear. The hard copies are still not finished yet. And they WILL be a bit different somewhat....from the digital version of the cd! Perhaps you may want to consider 'both'! (sly grin)
